About me

I’m Cory—a teacher (and student) of wisdom and spirituality, an occasional writer, and now a podcaster. I’m a co-founder of The Light Touch, where we host women’s mentorships and retreats focused on emotional maturity, self-realization, authentic friendship, and practical spirituality.

What I love about this work isn’t just the deep excavation of ego patterns and the realignment with our true nature (though there’s little in life I love more than that)—it’s also our collaborative approach to awakening and the honest, nitty gritty learning that comes with growing together.

I grew up around physicians and engineers and atheists with varying degrees of spiritual openness, so I developed an early appreciation for critical thinking, intellectual honesty, and good faith argument. My mom, an MD-turned-healthcare system reformer is a neuroscience nerd, longtime meditator, and a sincere student of whatever she pursues. I have her to thank for introducing me to books like Positive Intelligence, Energy Leadership, and The Power of Now at a young age, and nurturing the spark of some of my less-conventional, big picture curiosities.

Ever since I met my friend and Self-realization teacher, Bentinho Massaro, I’ve been dedicated to the path of enlightenment (once you get an experiential glimpse of where it leads, you discover it’s the only thing anyone really wants) but I also love lifting weights, playing chess (still haven’t beat my dad—stay tuned), going on hard hikes and girls’ trips, exchanging offensive memes, and enjoying an occasional pick-up basketball game.

This podcast is my way to share the best of what I’m learning and reading, and who I’m listening to and watching. Some topics include: discernment, following a teacher, confidence, self-talk, getting through hardship, friendship, relationships (and breakups), entrepreneurship, team-building, humor, giving (and receiving) feedback. And lots more.

If you want to get involved with me or the work I do, check out The Light Touch—Romee and I host immersive mentorships, programs and retreats for brilliant and openhearted women several times per year.

Additionally, check out the online school and app, Massaro University, where I and other facilitators lead workshops and classes regularly. That’s also where you can book private coaching sessions with me.

Finally, I sometimes share my insights on Instagram.
